On Thursday, Pine Bluff Parks and Recreation Director Sam Glover was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was joined by Mike Wilson, the new golf superintendent at Harbor Oaks and Mark Stevens, who is golf superintendent at the Jaycee Golf Course in Martin Luther King Jr., park.

Glover was asked about the city taking over management of Harbor Oaks and responded this way.

Wilson and his wife formerly leased Harbor Oaks and talked about its future.

Wilson talked about the grass that will be planted at Harbor Oaks and said it does well in both cold and hot weather and is easy to cut. It also does not require as much water.

He said it would take about 6 to 8 weeks to grow in and hopes the course will be ready to play later this year.
