Following the ceremony, Superintendent Dr. Keith McGee spoke with Deltaplex News about the impact of the new facility.

With the new building now complete, the district will move forward with plans to demolish the old facility. McGee said work is underway to begin that process.

Former Superintendent Tom Wilson was also in attendance for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Wilson served as superintendent when the millage was approved to fund construction of the new high school. He shared his thoughts on the project’s completion with Deltaplex News.

Watson Chapel School Board Vice President Alan Frazier also shared his thoughts on the new high school.
