Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has confirmed that James “Jim” Burns, identified as the CFO of the Saracen Casino and Resort, died at Jefferson Regional Hospital in the early morning hours Friday.
Kelly said the body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
Deltaplex News was told that Burns was on a golf cart that overturned on top of him at the Pine Bluff Country Club Thursday.
We have requested a police report on the incident and will provide more information when it is available.
