Pine Bluff Woman Charged with Allegedly Aiding Shooting Suspect Held on $10K Bond

A $10,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of helping a man wanted by police for a shooting.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set he bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jennie Stivers, 33, with hindering apprehension.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Shawn Watson, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on Tuesday, members of the U.S. Marshall’s Service and Pine Bluff Police Detectives were looking for a battery suspect, Rickey Ray, who was wanted in connection with a shooting.

They located a vehicle occupied by Ray and Stivers, but Ray ran into a wooded area while Stivers remained in the vehicle and was taken into custody.

She said prior to meeting Ray at the game room law enforcement officers had come to her residence looking for Ray.

Stivers was told to come back to court Jue 8.
