Pine Bluff Woman Charged After Allegedly Chasing Husband With Knife

A $5,000 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff woman accused of chasing her husband with a knife.
Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 33-year-old Marrissa Williams with Aggravated Assault on a Family/Household member.

Reading from an affidavit, the prosecuting attorney said on June 29th, officers responded to a 1100 E 36th ave regarding an aggravated assault involving Williams and her husband.

Upon arrival the husband reported they had an altercation earlier in the day at 2200 Crestwood Dr. He states Williams brandished a knife, chasing and threatening him.

Video was provided to the officers via the residence’s exterior surveillance cameras, which aligned with his story.

Williams was located at 2200 Crestwood Dr. where she was read her Miranda rights.

She admitted to chasing her husband with a knife, as well as admitting she threw the knife at him during the altercation.

She is ordered to have no contact with the victim and is scheduled to return to court August 21st.
