Pine Bluff Police Investigating Sunday Homicide on Cimarron Drive

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday afternoon on Cimarron Drive.

According to a press release, officers responded just after 12 p.m. March 1 to 6515 Cimarron in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Family members forced entry into the residence to check on the occupant after receiving no response inside the home.

Once inside, they located 40-year-old Kinyatta Ringo-Wimbly unresponsive. Police said she had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was found inside the residence.

Pine Bluff Police Department Public Information Officer Lieutenant David DeFoor spoke with Deltaplex News about the situation.

Investigators say the case remains in the early stages, and no suspect information has been released at this time.

Ringo-Wimbly’s body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
