UPDATE: Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has identified the victim as 26-year-old Keundrea McLemore. McLemore’s body will be sent to the crime lab for a full autopsy.

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a homicide after a shooting Tuesday night near the intersection of Port Road and Kansas Street.
According to a press release from the department, officers responded to the area around 8:45 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found a male lying in the roadway near the northwest corner of the intersection suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The man was unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley previously confirmed to Deltaplex News that at least one person had died in the incident.
Authorities said the victim’s identity will be released once his family has been notified.
Investigators also located a second male near the intersection of Port Road and Byrd Street who had suffered minor gunshot wounds. He was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police said the investigation remains in its early stages and no suspect information has been released.
The victim will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
