Pine Bluff Man Faces Total of $80K Bond for Fleeing Police and Car Break-In

A $75,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of running from an officer after nearly ramming into the officer’s patrol car; A separate $5,000 bond was set for breaking into a woman’s car and stealing her purse and other items.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 36-year-old Kelsey Green with Fleeing.

Reading from an affidavit from Lieutenant Bret Tally, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on May 11th, when officer Tally was going over the 28th st overpass when a dark colored SUV came up behind him at a high rate of speed, nearly clipping his rear passenger side bumper.

The SUV ended up in front of a red charger in a way where officer Tally couldn’t immediately pull him over.

The chase carried on from 28th until the SUV stopped at 3200 Violet Drive.

Tally attempted to approach the vehicle, but then drove away onto Oregon st, going through various streets before ending up in a ditch on 10th and Sycamore. He got out and fled on foot before being apprehended.


Green has former felonies as well as being on probation.
During the same hearing, Judge Kearney ruled there was probable cause to charge Green for Breaking and Entering.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jesse Horton, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on April 20th, officer Johnson responded to 4500 Union Ave Apartment 8.

Detective Horton came back April 27th to review footage.

Green is scheduled to return to court.
