The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a death investigation following the discovery of an unresponsive individual on East Altheimer Road in the Altheimer area of Jefferson County, Arkansas.
On June 15, 2026 at approximately 2134 hours, Deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive person found in the vicinity of East Altheimer Road. Upon arrival, Deputies located an unresponsive individual. Emergency Ambulance Services Inc (EASI) arrived on scene and started providing medical aid to the individual. EASI transported the individual to Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC). The individual died at JRMC. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
At this time, no additional details are being released as the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are working to determine the manner of death. An autopsy will be conducted by the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory as part of the investigation.
