The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock announced in a news release Monday that it will be adding additional spaces, including additional seating, for travelers outside the airport entrance as well as inside the terminal.

“A refreshed seating area is coming to baggage claim with new furniture and more charging stations,” the Clinton National Airport stated in a social media post on Monday. “We’re also adding additional seating and landscaping outside to create a more welcoming place to pause and take a deep breath as you wait.”

According to the release, the airport is hoping that the additional spacing will allow more time for travelers entering the facility or awaiting a flight more comfortable, relaxing and up-to-date accommodations that are also visually appealing.

“By enhancing both the indoor and outdoor waiting areas, LIT [Clinton National Airport] is creating brighter, more comfortable spaces for those in‑between moments,” the news release stated. “It’s part of our mission to improve the overall passenger experience and make the airport feel welcoming from departure to arrival.”

The airport did not announce an anticipated start or completion dates for construction of these new amenities.
