C&L Electric Crews Restore Power After Severe Storms Leave Thousands Without Electricity

Crews with C&L Electric Cooperative worked through the night to restore power following storms that moved through the region Tuesday, leaving thousands of customers without electricity.

According to an update released Wednesday morning, power has been restored to more than 1,900 members. However, outages remain in portions of Bradley, Drew and Jefferson counties.

At the height of the outages Tuesday, approximately 2,200 members across the cooperative’s service area were without power as storms caused widespread disruptions.

Utility officials said crews are continuing restoration efforts and are working as quickly and safely as possible to return service to all affected areas.

Customers can check estimated restoration times through the cooperative’s outage viewer at outages.clelectric.com.

C&L Electric is also asking members to report outages by calling 870-628-4221 or by texting “OUT” to 870-628-4221.
