A live bazooka shell dating back to World War I/II was found in a shed in Lincoln County Oct. 3, according to the Lincoln Ledger newspaper.

A bomb squad from the United States Air Force was called to the location by Lincoln County Office of Emergency Management and identified the shell as a Bazooka M6 round which they said was still active and highly dangerous.

After the shell was removed, it was taken to an opened area on the property where it was charged with C4 explosives and disposed of entirely.
