Lincoln County Judge Buddy Lynn Earnest on Tuesday said a pipe burst in the old Lincoln County jail over the holiday which affected courthouse operations.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show, Earnest said county employees had been off for 4 days and count offices needed to be open if possible to serve the public.

He went on to say the plan is to give the building a few hours to see if the pipes unfreeze before deciding whether to shut the building down or not.

Earnest, who won another term as county judge in May, was asked if there would be new people coming in in January and answered this way.

He was asked what he and the sheriff talked about doing to try to make the county better.
