Local police and the FBI are currently looking into a TikTok video that recently surfaced showing a girl that closely resembles missing Stuttgart girl Cassie Compton.
Compton has been missing from Stuttgart since 2014. She was 15 years old at the time of her disappearance.
On the day she disappeared she went to a demolition derby in Dewitt with friends, then returned to her home just before 7 p.m. She left a few minutes later and hasn’t been seen since.
The video in question shows a girl sitting in the backseat of a car with two men. The girl, who appears to either have black eyes or to be wearing dark eye shadow, stares at the camera silently as the men speak to each other.
The Stuttgart Police Department released the following statement regarding the video Thursday morning:
We appreciate all the tips and information about Cassie Compton. We have the video from TikTok and have seen the Facebook posts. We are working diligently with the Arkansas State Police and FBI right now. Since this is still an open investigation, we can’t release any further information right now.
The FBI’s Little Rock office said in a statement that they are also aware of the video.
“The TikTok video has been brought to our attention. The FBI Little Rock is aware of it. We are following up on the video and taking any logical investigative steps but we cannot say anything further at this time.”
