Jefferson County records its 12th Coronavirus death

Jefferson County now has its 12th Coronavirus death after a patient at Jefferson Regional succumbed to the virus Tuesday morning.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley confirmed the death to DeltaplexNews.com, noting the victim had been hospitalized since March 31, and passed away at 9:30 Tuesday morning. The victim was an African American female in her 60’s.

Jefferson county recorded 11 Coronavirus deaths previous to this.
