Jefferson County Assessor Gloria Tillman has run afoul of the county’s nepotism policy and according to County Judge Gerald Robinson, there have been complaints from others who work in the office as well as from the public.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show, Robinson talked about the issue.

Robinson said the Quorum Court has not repealed the ordinance and Tillman was made aware of it when she took office in January.

Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Robinson if he could just not pay the woman and Robinson answered this way.

On another subject, Robinson was asked if he thinks things will get better next year when Justice of the Peace Lloyd Franklin Jr., who has been the source of many of the problems the county’s legislative body has faced is replaced by Jimmy Fisher, defeated Franklin in the March primary.
