Jefferson County deputies discovered a body inside a vehicle near Highway 13 in Humphrey, Arkansas.

Deputies were notified of a suspicious vehicle in Humphrey at approximately 10 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the vehicle on a levee with a lifeless, white male inside.

The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Ray Daniel Ruffin, who was pronounced dead by Jefferson County Coroner Eric Belcher.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. there were no obvious signs of foul play, and the cause of death has not yet been determined. Additionally, there were no missing person reports regarding Ruffin, who was found alone in the vehicle.

Ruffin’s body will be sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy in order to determine cause of death.
