Schools in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County begin Aug. 22 and with the start of school comes the reopening of the Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County which will be operating out of a third site.

On Wednesday, Nyesha Aldridge, the director of the Boys and Girls Club joined Leslie Dorn from the United Way of Southeast Arkansas on the Oldies 1013 morning show to talk about that third site.

Aldridge said registration for the fall has already started and encouraged parents to sign their kids up now before all the spots are full.

The cost for a child is $25 annually and she said some schools will provide transportation to the club sites. The club also has vans to pick up students and take them to the site. Parents are responsible for picking up the students daily at 6 p.m.

Aldridge was also asked what the students will do at the club and answered this way.
