A Jacksonville man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in North Little Rock Thursday.
According to a preliminary report, Edwin Alejandro, 26, was westbound on Interstate 40 when he lost control of the 2017 Jeep he was driving. The vehicle left the south side of the roadway, rotated in a counter clockwise direction and the passenger side of the vehicle hit a tree. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its top.
Alejandro was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 6:51 a.m. and the death was the 57th of the year on the state’s highways.
