The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents along the Arkansas River to leave their homes because of expected flooding.
This evacuation warning was issued for residents of Island Harbor Marina, Riverside Drive, and Wright-Pastoria.
The river is expanding after severe weather brought heavy rainfall to Oklahoma. Flood levels in Arkansas could be worst than floods that happened nearly 30 years ago says Army Corps of Engineers.
