The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a 2.9 magnitude earthquake near Prattsville in Grant county.

It was initially called a 2.8, but was later upgraded to a 2.9 by the USGS.

The earthquake happened at 12:01 p.m. CST at an estimated depth of five miles below the surface. The center of the earthquake was 11 miles from Sheridan.

Two earthquakes, one larger and one smaller, were recorded on Wednesday just north of Arkansas. Those were magnitude 2.5 and 4.0.
