Southeast Arkansas College is preparing to start what its president, Steven Bloomberg described as an “historic day” for the school.

In addition to starting sports programs and adding dormitories, SEARK is adding a bench jeweler class this fall and appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday, Bloomberg talked about that class.

He went on to say that there are still openings for the class this fall.

Classes begin Aug. 21 and students will be able to move into the new dormitories, called “the reef” beginning Aug. 16.

Morning show host Greg Horne said all the new programs are “transformative for the school” and Bloombrg responded this way.
