The Pine Bluff Development and Planning Committee met for their monthly meeting on Tuesday afternoon and approved the two ordinances presented on the agenda. The first ordinance was amending a code of ordinance concerning parking requirements within the B-5, central business district, and related purposes. This would allow current and new businesses to have the space needed for parking without further restrictions.

The second ordinance that the committee discussed was to enact a new section 2-6 which prescribes procedures for consideration of city-owned real estate and related purposes. This allows buyers to purchase city property that meets the standards of the ordinance procedures at the fair market value of that particular property. Council Member Bruce Lockett furth explained this,

These two ordinances will be presented to the City Council at their next meeting on Monday, April 19th.
