A Grady woman who allegedly robbed another woman Nov. 2 will have to post a $10,000 cash only bond to be released from the adult detention center after a court hearing Monday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond for Kealicia Barnes, 32, after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with aggravated robbery.

Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson told the court that police were sent to the Sunbridge Inn on Dollarway Road where a man police officers his girlfriend had been beaten and robbed in one of the rooms. The female said she was in a room that Barnes had rented and Barnes tried to get her to prostitute herself.

She said when she refused, Barnes and a male jumped on her and took $600 to $700 cash that had been her social security check. She said she ran out of the room to her boyfriend’s room.

Carson said Detective Ryan Moheb spoke to the manager of the Sunbridge Inn who confirmed that Barnes had rented the room where the alleged incident occurred. The male victim told police he had also been robbed and he and his girlfriend both identified Barnes from a photo lineup.

When Barnes was questioned, she admitted being at the Sunbridge Inn and admitted being with a male but denied in involvement in the robbery.

Carson said Barnes had forgery charges pending and prior convictions in Texas. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled.
