In recognition of lung cancer awareness month, CARTI will be offering screenings at their Pine Bluff facility on Bobo Road.
Dr. Don Norwood talked about the screenings on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Friday.
Morning show host Greg Horne told Norwood he had read reports indicating that about 30 percent of the people who get lung cancer have never smoked and asked if that was accurate.
Horne also asked about new treatments for lung cancer which over the past five years have increased survival rates for patients.
The screenings in Pine Bluff will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. and people interested should call CARTI at 501-906-4454 to make an appointment.
