A $25,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly broke into two vehicles at a car lot on Sunday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Landon Bryant, 35, with breaking or entering.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Sgt. Steven Rucker, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad told the court what Bryant allegedly did.

Conrad said Bryant was taken into custody and taken to the Detective Office where Rucker attempted to get a statement but was not able to due to Bryant’s level of agitation.

Bryant was convicted of arson in 2015 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He is currently on parole.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Bryant and he was ordered to come back to court Oct. 8.
