The Bloom Tennis Center in Pine Bluff has been available to the community for over twenty years and it hosts local camps for the youth and lessons for all ages during the spring and summer months of the year.
Deltaplex News spoke with Fred Toney one of the building directors at the center who explained more about their most recent youth camp in July.
He added that the camp had a total of thirty youth participants aged six to thirteen who signed up through parks and recreations at the Pine Bluff Community Center.
After being asked how tennis could get more involvement, Toney explained how he believes there should be more tennis programs and teams in public schools.
Toney also mentioned wanting more community involvement to bring the youth to the center to learn and talked about potential activities that the center would like to coordinate.
