UPDATE: Accidents in I530 in Jefferson County and Highway 167 in Grant County have been cleared and traffic is flowing once again in both locations according to emergency officials.

Travelers are asked to drive carefully as conditions could worsen moving into the evening hours.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Black ice has caused a lot of accidents in Jefferson and Grant Counties this morning.

Officials are telling Deltaplex News that I530 is closed between Pine Bluff and Redfield due to how many accidents emergency officials are having to work.

The I530 bypass in Pine Bluff has multiple accidents as well.

Additionally, ice is being reported on Martha Mitchell Expressway in Pine Bluff and Highway 65 South between Pine Bluff and Grady.

Highway 167 in Grant County has been closed between Sheridan and East End in the Ico community due to accidents on the Hurricane Creek bridge.

We are actively monitoring conditions in other areas as well.

Freezing rain and low temperatures overnight helped to usher these conditions in. If you must travel allow yourself extra time and drive with caution.
