The Pine Bluff School District is making a concerted effort to improve its teaching staff by ensuring that every teacher is state certified.
Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Thursday, Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree was asked about that effort, particularly since some current teachers, who are not certified, are being let go.
Morning show host Greg Horne asked Barbaree if the affected teachers have been notified their contracts will not be renewed for the 2023-2024 school year and she said they had.
She then went on to say this.
Horne then asked Barbaree how many teachers will be needed this year.
