Earlier this month Deltaplex News interviewed the Director of Animal Control, Marcus Graydon about the reopening of the shelter after an outbreak earlier this year. The shelter is back in full operation and they have a lot of furry friends looking for a home.

During that interview, Graydon announced their free adoptions for the month of December explaining that the shelter will prepare the pets for the adoption process with no charge to the community. As of today, the shelter has increased its adoption rate from 19 in November to a total of 21.

Graydon also updated Deltaplex News on another free giveaway of straw installation for outside pets to help keep them warm during the winter months. The shelter has received a donation of 20 bails of straw from Shell-Ross Co and is asking the community to contribute to donations of straw as well. He added that the straw installation will also be available for the surrounding areas of Pine Bluff.

On another subject, Graydon was asked how volunteers can help contribute to the shelter.
