The Pine Bluff City Council on Monday voted 7-1 to give Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Clean and Beautiful money on a quarterly basis with Council Member Joni Alexander casting the only no vote.

On Tuesday, Alexander was a guest on the Oldies 101.3 morning show and explained why she voted no.

The council voted to pull a budget adjustment and resolution dealing with the Harbor Oaks Golf Course and Alexander talked about the reason those items were pulled.

She said the City owns the land where the golf course is located but the actual building housing the restaurant and pro-shop are currently owned by Mike Wilson and when Regional Park was flooded, the building was not repaired because Wilson did not have insurance on it.
