The fourth in a series of interviews with candidates for Mayor of Pine Bluff Thursday featured former City Council Member Joni Alexander Robinson, who served on the council for four years and chose last year not to seek another term.
During her tenure on the council, she was a frequent guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and host Greg Horne mentioned that during that period, she frequently said she did not want to be Mayor. He then asked her what had changed.
For much of that period, Alexander Robinson was a supporter of Go Forward Pine Bluff, frequently voting with the current Mayor but that changed and she became critical of the plan. Horne asked her what changed and why she was against it.
She then went on to say this.
Horne said Go Forward became more of a political issue and Alexander Robinson agreed.
