Alex Foundation to host summer camps

According to The Mcgehee Dermott Times-News Newspaper, The Alex Foundation will host its 11th annual architecture and design summer camps in partnership with Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub at the University of Arkansas at Monticello property, Hollywood Plantation, 184 Plantation Lane, Tillar.

This partnership will allow students to receive a free two-day workshop for two weeks offering STEAM skills-building. The first week of summer camp will be an all-girls camp, and the second week of summer camp will be co-ed. Both camps are for rising 7th-grade students.

The summer camps will convene July 10-14th, Monday-Friday 9 am to 4 pm, and July 17th-21st, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 4 pm at the Hollywood Plantation.

The two-day STEAM skills-building workshop will be taught by Zoe Eagan on Thursday, July 13th, Friday, July 14th, and Friday, July 21st.

Eagan is an Officer of Education at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Arkansans by inspiring innovation and expanding opportunity.
