Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013 and this week the guest was Nyeshia Aldridge, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County.
Aldridge talked about the club’s upcoming Christmas program.
The program will take place at the club’s First United Methodist Church located at 200 E. 6th Avenue and the public is invited.
She said there are currently about 150 young people who are involved in activities each day and morning show host Greg Horne asked her what those young people are doing.
Aldridge said the club’s three sites will shut down for the holidays on Dec. 16 and reopen on Jan. 2.
