A $15,000 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff woman accused of leaving the scene after a motorcycle accident.
Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 30-year-old Aliza Eans with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death.
Reading from an affidavit by Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Sierra Johnson, the Prosecuting Attorney said that on July 24th, Detective Johnson responded to the intersection of South Olive Street and West 29th Avenue regarding a motorcycle accident.
Upon arrival, Detective Johnson spoke with an officer who advised that the second person involved in the accident had left the scene, while the motorcycle driver had been transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash.
Eans was transported to the Pine Bluff Police Department for questioning, where she was advised of her Miranda rights.
She signed a waiver acknowledging those rights before providing a statement to investigators.
Eans has two prior felony convictions and was recently sentenced to probation.
She is scheduled to return to court on September 21st.
