PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Overall crime in Pine Bluff declined by more than 15 percent during the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year, according to the latest statistics from the Pine Bluff Police Department.
From April through June, PBPD recorded 644 reported crimes, compared with 759 during the same three-month period in 2025. Crimes against persons decreased by 28 percent overall.
Six homicides were reported during the period, compared with five last year. Non-fatal shootings remained unchanged at 10. Reports of buildings being shot fell from 10 to three, while vehicles being shot decreased from eight to three.
Rapes remained unchanged at seven. Robberies increased from three to 12, while aggravated assaults declined from 98 to 78.
Property crime statistics were mixed. Commercial burglaries decreased from 20 to 17, while residential burglaries fell from 51 to 31. Thefts increased from 249 to 274, and vehicle thefts declined from 46 to 41.
PBPD responded to 8,257 calls for service and conducted 2,124 traffic stops between April and June. Calls for service and traffic stops combined totaled 18,708 through the reporting period.
Domestic Violence Calls
Pine Bluff police also responded to 349 domestic violence calls during the three-month period.
Boyfriend/girlfriend-related incidents accounted for the largest category with 200 calls. Those incidents resulted in 20 arrests and included six cases involving firearms and 52 involving open-handed physical altercations.
Parent/child incidents accounted for 69 calls, followed by 31 husband/wife calls, 28 involving other family relationships and 21 involving brothers and sisters.
Police reported 48 arrests related to domestic violence incidents from April through June.
