The Jefferson County Clerk’s office would like to get the following notice to the public as soon as possible:
Act 736 prohibits the County Clerk from sending unsolicited absentee applications to voters who have not established recent contact to request a new ballot application. All voters who wish to receive an absentee ballot must contact the County Clerk’s office.
The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office has absentee ballot applications available to the public Monday thru Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. if you would like to vote by mail.

Please mail, fax, or scan and email the completed form to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office.
Important Dates to Remember:
July 20, 2026 – Last day to register to vote in the Special Primary Election
August 3, 2026 – First day for designated bearers to pick up absentee ballots (2) max
August 11, 2026 – First day of early voting (8:30a.m.-5:00p.m.)
Last day to receive applications for absentee voting by mail, fax, or email
August 14, 2026 – Deadline to submit in-person applications for absentee ballots from voter, bearer, or administrator
5:00 p.m. deadline for voter, bearer, or administrator to personally deliver ballots to county clerk
August 17, 2026 – Last day for early voting (8:30am-5pm)
August 18, 2026 – Election day (7:30am – 7:30pm) (Vote at polling site)
1:30 p.m. deadline for authorized agent to deliver absentee ballot
7:30 p.m. deadline for county clerk to receive absentee ballots by mail or physical delivery of authorized agent of the absentee voter who is medically unable to vote at polling site
Deadline for UCOVA (military outside the U.S.) to sign date and postmark to mail ballots to the county clerk. Must be received by 5:00 p.m., (10) calendar days after the election
