A $75,000 cash bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of stalking, harassing and firing a gun at his ex.

Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgeforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 37-year-old Molton Oglesby with Aggravated Residential Burglary, Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member and 1st Degree Terroristic Threatening.

Reading from an affidavit, Prosecuting Attorney Jim Williams said that on July 10, officers responded to a call on Old Warren Road regarding an altercation, where they made contact with two victims. One of the victims told officers she was visiting Pine Bluff for the Fourth of July and was staying at a friend’s apartment when her ex, later identified as Oglesby, arrived uninvited and forced his way inside. The victim said Oglesby then snatched her phone and tablet from her hands before running out of the apartment. She chased after him in an attempt to recover her belongings, at which point she said Oglesby physically assaulted her.

Williams said the incident followed two earlier encounters involving the same victim. On July 7, officers responded to another address after the victim reported Oglesby had been stalking and tracking her following an incident on July 5. During that earlier incident, the victim told police Oglesby had shown up at a residence where she was staying without permission. Officers learned he had called the residence twice and was believed to be intoxicated at the time. During an interview, the victim also told officers Oglesby had threatened to kill her.

Williams said that later on July 10, when officers were called to another incident involving the victim, she reported she was walking when Oglesby drove by, called out to her, produced a handgun and fired in her direction.

Oglesby was ordered to have no contact with the victim and is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 2.
