A $100,000 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff woman accused of having Meth mailed directly to her house.
Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 26-year-old Chadise Smithwick with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).
Reading from an affidavit, the prosecuting attorney said on June 30th, police were notified that homeland security would be in contact with them over a package that was intercepted going to Jefferson County that contained 4.2 pounds of suspected Methamphetamine.
The package was being shipped to 21 Carol St in White Hall. A drug task force agent accepted the package and delivered it to the house.
Surveillance was conducted, and a White Chevy Tahoe was seen pulling into the driveway, where a white female later identified as Smithwick exited the vehicle.
She grabbed the package, got back in the car and left.
Eventually, an officer was able to conduct a traffic stop, where it was confirmed the package was in the backseat.
The package is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for testing.
She is ordered to return to court August 21st.
