A $5,000 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of acting erratically and assaulting the other residents of his house.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 40-year-old Marvin Sanders with 3rd Degree Domestic Battery.
Reading from an affidavit, Prosecuting Attorney Bill Snowden said on June 26th, officer Nathan Smith was dispatched to 1707 S. Ash St. regarding a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, Smith spoke with one of the victims, who states he went to check on his brother, Marvin, and give him a clean shirt.
Marin then started acting erratically, threw it to the ground and started beating the residents. Officer Smith noted a small laceration on the victim’s head in his report.
At the time of arrival, Sanders was not present. The police were re-dispatched when notified of his return, where he was apprehended.
Sanders has previous domestic battery charges from 2022.
He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and is scheduled to return to court.
