The Arkansas National Guard plans to conduct a series of military flyovers across communities in the state from June 29 through July 2 as part of activities commemorating America’s 250th birthday.
According to Guard officials, the flights will feature C-130 Hercules aircraft assigned to the 189th Airlift Wing and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the 77th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade.
The demonstrations are intended to showcase military aviation capabilities while recognizing the national milestone and promoting a sense of unity.
As part of the schedule, the aircraft are expected to pass over Pine Bluff on Tuesday, June 30.
Officials said communities along the route have coordinated local events to coincide with the aerial displays, and specific flyover times have been established for participating cities.
The flyovers are expected to occur as planned, weather permitting. A complete list of participating cities and scheduled times is available on the Arkansas National Guard’s official Facebook page.
