Central Moloney announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Pine Bluff to North Little Rock while maintaining its manufacturing operations and workforce investments in Jefferson County.
During a recent radio interview, Central Moloney’s Chris Hart said the company has signed a multi-year lease for office space at 5020 Northshore Drive in North Little Rock.
Hart said the move is intended to provide a more centralized location for corporate functions, customer meetings and recruiting efforts while allowing the company to continue manufacturing in Pine Bluff.
Hart emphasized that the relocation does not involve moving manufacturing operations out of Pine Bluff.
He said the company remains committed to its Jefferson County facility, which accounts for roughly half of Central Moloney’s overall business operations.
According to Hart, the company is planning significant capital investments in the Pine Bluff facility, including upgrades to expand production capabilities for three-phase pad-mounted transformers.
He estimated the investment could total between $8 million and $10 million.
Hart said the company continues to face workforce challenges, particularly in hiring and retaining employees for manufacturing positions.
He cited attendance issues and labor availability as ongoing concerns affecting operations.
The company also discussed the broader business environment, including rising material costs, transportation expenses and tariff impacts.
Hart said those factors have increased costs for transformer manufacturers across the industry.
Central Moloney operates facilities in Arkansas, Florida and Canada and serves utility customers throughout North America.
Company officials said the headquarters relocation is designed to support future growth while preserving manufacturing operations in Pine Bluff.
