A $1,500 bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of taking things from an abandoned apartment building without permission.
Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgeforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 66-year-old Larry Rayford with Breaking and Entering.
Reading from an affidavit, Prosecuting Attorney Shana Alexander states that on May 19th, Officer Jones was patrolling the area of around 1105 E 26th Ave, which is St. John’s apartments, when she observed a 2011 Chevy Silverado parked there.
She made contact with the truck owner, later identified as Rayford, and inquired about what he was doing. He informed her he was collecting scrap materials. Rayford did not have permission to do this.
He is scheduled to return to court on July 10th.
