Former Firefighter and Youth Leader Arrested for Alleged Online Communication with Minors

A former volunteer firefighter was arrested Sunday, July 5th, after police responded to an incident involving allegations that he had been communicating online with and preparing to meet someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.

According to the Jefferson County Jail Log, 26-year-old Jesse Milner was arrested and charged for Sexual Solicitation of a Minor, Internet Stalking of a Child, Computer Exploitation of a Child, and Sexually Grooming a Child.

Milner was named Highway 15 South Fire Department’s Firefighter of the Year in 2024 and is not affiliated with the Watson Chapel Fire Department in any capacity. He also served as a leader in a church youth group.
