A $10,000 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of attempting to smuggle contraband into the jail.
Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgeforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 21-year-old Dedrick Foote with driving with a suspended license and Furnishing Prohibited Articles.
Reading from an affidavit, Prosecuting Attorney Shana Alexander said on April 17th, an officer was contacted about contraband found in a cell.
There was a security check in the yard and 3 bundles wrapped in electrical tape were recovered.
After reviewing security footage to identify who brought in the contraband, they were able to identify Foote and another person bringing a track cart back to the yard, looking into a trash can, and placing three bundles inside.
Foot is scheduled to return to court on July 7th.
