Dumas Man Arrested at Jefferson County Sheriff Office Parking Lot Held on $25K Bond

A $25,000 cash bond was set for a Dumas man accused of sitting in the parking lot of the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office with meth in his car.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 57-year-old Bobby Woods Jr with possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia related to cocaine/amphetamines, and possession of a firearm and drugs. His name is listed as Bobby Wood in the jail log.

Reading from an affidavit, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on May 11th, an incident occurred at 410 E 2nd Ave, which happened to be the Jefferson County Sherrif Office’s parking lot.

Woods was taken into custody where baggies of white substance found in his car were tested and found to be meth.

Woods also has a pending case for procession of drugs and firearms, as well as a charge for firearms possessed by certain persons. He is scheduled to return to court on July 1st.
