Longtime Pine Bluff journalist Ray King has announced his retirement after more than 50 years in the business. King spent over 18 years at the Pine Bluff Commercial before concluding his career with Deltaplex Radio.
King reflected on his career and shared some of his favorite memories.
King, a United States Army veteran, began his career in radio as a disc jockey at KOTN in Pine Bluff before enlisting in the Army, where he worked in public affairs.
He also served as a public information officer for the Pine Bluff Police Department.
King shared what led him back to radio when he accepted a position with Deltaplex Radio.
King also shared his plans as he begins retirement.
