A multi-agency operation in Pine Bluff resulted in the arrest of one individual on several drug and firearm-related charges following the execution of a search warrant Thursday.
According to authorities, members of the Pine Bluff Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division, the Tri-County Drug Task Force and SWAT executed a search warrant April 23 in the 600 block of West 24th Avenue.
Officials said multiple individuals were detained at the residence and surrounding property without incident during the operation.
During the search, investigators recovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and a firearm that was later determined to be stolen and had an altered serial number.
Detectives said additional evidence was located inside a vehicle associated with Kenyatta Henton, including suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, .40 caliber ammunition and a loaded Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .40 handgun. Authorities said the firearm had a defaced serial number and was reported stolen out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Police said Henton accepted ownership of the items found inside the vehicle and was taken into custody. He was transported to the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center.
Henton faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a firearm by certain persons, possession of a defaced firearm and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
