At 1:46, pm Saturday, a near head-on collision occurred on Highway 425 north of Monticello around the Montongo community.
Three people were transported by SEEMS, north to Little Rock and/or JRMC, by SEEMS.
Sources at the scene indicate that the mustang was traveling northbound, while the Ford F-250 pick up was traveling southbound.
Although no one indicated who was at fault, the damage to the Mustang’s passenger door could indicate that driver had lost control of their vehicle, possibly causing the accident.
Rangel & JNA Towing removed the destroyed vehicles.
ASP Trooper Cross is investigating the accident, assisted by DCSO, Monticello Fire & Rescue, and MPD (who responded because of the emergency situation, while deputies were in other areas in the county).
