$5k bond set for a Pine Bluff woman accused of domestic battery

A Pine Bluff woman previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery is facing a felony allegation after being arrested for the same offense Saturday.

Althea Savage, 47, who list an address in White Hall was taken into custody after police responded to a reported domestic disturbance on Hutchinson Street at 5:41 p.m.

Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained what police found.

Following a court hearing Monday, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Savage and ordered her to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled. She was told to come back t court Sept. 29 and said she would hire her own attorney.
